JAO exposes himself
author, photographer, collagist

#Guest- Dec 18, 2021 - Feb 18, 2022

Photos - without retouching or special effects - of the unusual of everyday life, when two elements of the decor contradict or complement each other. Shots made for 30 years all over France. A non-invasive street-art with a sometimes tender, sometimes corrosive humor that often allows serious topics to be addressed (pollution, death, desertification of city centers, etc.) with a smile, the photographer's objective being to look at reality in farce.
Five books of Photolescopages have already been published and some of these images edited into black and white postcards.
Five editions are on sale during the exhibition at the price of 15€.

Author, photographer, collagist

A written press journalist based in Limousin, correspondent for national dailies and magazines, Jao was previously a columnist-presenter in various Radio France stations. This is how he traveled through France and began to collect photolescopages.

Jao is also a collagist. In particular, he participated in the Guillaumin exhibition (June 2015 – June 2016) at the Hôtel Lépinat (Center for the interpretation of painters  de la Vallée de la Creuse) as well as the International Collage Days (2019 and 2021 editions) at the Espace Monet Rollinat (Center for art and creation in Fresselines – Creuse). Jao also created the “Villégiatures” series of postcards-collages which depict the heritage of Creuse, Haute-Vienne and Indre.

Author, Jao published in 2019, a few months before the pandemic, "the Chronicles of before chaos" and, in October 2021, "La tarte aux fraises", a collection of short stories illustrated with collages.

Publication of "The Strawberry Tart", 22 short stories with a deliciously retro tone, some illustrated with original collages.
